Stage - Riverside Exhibition Centre
Our 2,200 sq. ft. (18' x 126') stage has been designed to be a versatile focal-point or addition to your event. It is accessible using stair from the Grand Hall (on both sides of the stage), or from the Education Room which can be added for use as a green room or staging room for entrance to the stage out of sight from the audience. There is a stage lift (elevator) from the ground level to the stage level for those who require accessibility. The Stage can be added to Grand Hall Rentals or may be rented standalone for rehearsals and practices.
The Grand Hall has a dedicated, robust sound system featuring speakers and subwoofers suitable for voice announcements, conference presentations, theatre productions, and recorded music. The system is not designed for live music performances. An easy to operate input panel allows you to utilize wired or wireless microphones, and inputs for XLR, and 1/8" stereo (aux cables). Advanced users can patch in or out from the system. You can also request an operator from our recommended sound production company to assist you with more complex input requirements for an additional fee. You are also welcome to bring your own sound system.
Conduits have been run from the rear wall of the stage through the floor to the centre of the Grand Hall- this is ideal for live music performances. Conduits continue to the Sound & Technology Room on the 2nd floor directly across from the stage ideal for sound and lighting control for theatre and television production. There is also a cable tray across one of the roof trusses leading from the stage directly to the Sound & Technology Room and the Grand Hall Mezzanine.
The Stage has a dedicated 200amp service which you can utilize to have an electrician connect theatre and television production or live music equipment without the worry of tripped breakers or overloaded circuits.
The Riverside Exhibition Centre is connected to a state-of-the-art 100% fiber optic network. Enjoy simultaneous 1gbps upload and download speeds via Cat6 wired ethernet connections located on the rear wall of the stage and at the centre of the Grand Hall, or connect to a reliable high-speed Wi-Fi 6 wireless network. Provide a dedicated, branded Wi-Fi network for event guests with unlimited usage for an additional $75 fee. IP Phone and Cable Television are also available for an additional fee- contact us for information and pricing.
The stage is curtained with functional and stylish black commando professional drape. Permanent fixtures include a centre-part grand curtain with an attractive valance, and a fixed rear curtain which allows crossover. Up to six portable freestanding legs are available for use on the stage. The grand curtain can be fully opened and closed on a fixed track and legs can be created by partially closing the grand curtain. Matching freestanding pipe and drape (12' height) is available for an additional fee (see additional items) and can be used to frame the stage or partition off portions of the Grand Hall. All drape has +50% fullness sewn in to create a professional atmosphere for any event or production.

All stage rentals require:
1) A signed rental agreement
2) A 50% non-refundable booking deposit
3) A $250.00 security deposit, refundable provided no damage is caused during your event
4) Proof of commercial liability insurance with a minimum of $2million coverage

Use of the Stage can be added to a Grand Hall rental. It can also be booked standalone without Grand Hall access for rehearsals and practices. We recommend that you contact us at least 6-8 months ahead of your event date to secure availability. We take bookings up to 24 months in advance.

Booking Deposit, Balance, and Security Deposit payments are payable by cash, cheque, bank draft, or money order payable to 'Caledonia Agricultural Society,' Interac E-Transfer, or Interac Debit. Rentals of our facility are HST exempt.
