Mutual Room - Riverside Exhibition Centre
The Mutual Room is a 2,800 sq. ft. facility perfect for banquets, parties, large meetings, and weddings. When you rent the Mutual Room, the Board Room is included (when available), providing private use of the entire second floor of the Riverside Exhibition Centre and a full-kitchen. The second floor is accessible using stairs or an elevator from the main lobby. The Mutual Room can hold up to 160 people.
The Riverside Exhibition Centre is connected to a state-of-the-art 100% fiber optic network. Enjoy simultaneous 1gbps upload and download speeds via Cat6 wired ethernet connections, or connect to a reliable high-speed Wi-Fi 6 wireless network.
The Mutual Room has a robust sound system which includes a wireless microphone, an 1/8" stereo input (aux cord) for music, and XLR inputs for wired microphones or other devices. The sound system also has the ability to link with speakers in the second floor lounge and Board Room. Access to the sound system is included with all rentals.
Clean & Conditioned Air
The Mutual Room features a heat-exchange system which treats fresh outside air which mixes with the recirculated air to ensure a clean and healthy environment. The Hall is heated and air conditioned, and renters can adjust the thermostat for personal comfort.
Tables and Chairs
Mutual Room rentals include the use of up to 20 6-foot length rectangular folding tables, up to 10 high-top bar tables, up to 20 60-inch round banquet tables, and up to 160 black stacking chairs. We can assist you in renting additional tables and chairs, linens, and other decor items through our rental partners, or you are welcome to rent your own items.
The Mutual Room has two kitchenette spaces with ample counter space, and two double sinks. The adjoining Board Room has a full kitchen with counter space, sink, fridge, electric range, oven, and microwave. The Board Room is included with Mutual Room rentals when available. If you require a larger kitchen space, our Commercial Kitchen or Concession Kitchen may be available to meet your needs.
We can provide a number of add-on items for an additional fee to help make your event or production successful.

All Mutual Room rentals require:
1) A signed rental agreement
2) A 50% non-refundable booking deposit
3) A $500.00 security deposit, refundable provided no damage is caused during your event
4) Proof of commercial liability insurance with a minimum of $2million coverage

We recommend that you contact us at least 2-3 months ahead of your event date to secure availability. We take bookings up to 24 months in advance.

Booking Deposit, Balance, and Security Deposit payments are payable by cash, cheque, bank draft, or money order payable to 'Caledonia Agricultural Society,' Interac E-Transfer, or Interac Debit. Rentals of our facility are HST exempt.
